Over the last year I had gone from taking on only small projects on a part time basis to taking on sturdy projects for medium sized business, organizations and agencies. I was a single person taking on projects I could not have imagined taking just one year earlier. Business was good and being the boss was better. However, staying up until 4-5 in the morning was a very common occurrence. Running a business takes a great deal of time as you might imagine. I was one person taking it all on and as it turns out, I didn’t fancy it as much as I had thought. Something had to change and therefore, Red Eye Designer was put on hold.

I wanted to write a quick update on how things are going for this guy. If you’re reading this you can probably tell that I haven’t been updating the blog as frequent as I had hoped. Frankly, work has been taking a lot of time and when I’m not working I like to take time off. For me. Now I haven’t been completely disconnected from this site. I’ve been working on a new look and feel for the site. I’ve never really been happy with my site. Truth be told, I started working on a redesign since I last launched. I was in a hurry to get my site up and running so I could find work  - work that I eventually got. I’ll be

Well, that time has come again. I’m going to aggressively start looking for freelance work soon . Business cards are being designed and I am in the middle of coding up my new home page. I’m hoping to have something up and running before the end of the year.

So it’s been quite some time since I’ve updated this blog. It’s mostly been used to showcase some of the work I have done. Something I need to do is update my portfolio to show some more recent work. While I was thinking of a new way of doing this WordPress 3.0 was just around the corner. The 3rd iteration of WordPress has been out for quite a while now and it’s time for an upgrade.

A few weeks ago I mentioned I was working on this site’s redesign. After many hours of design and development, I’m happy to show you the new Red Eye Designer. This is the 3rd iteration of the site and I am happy with it so far. I don’t plan on redesigning every 6 months like I have before. This will probably be it for a good while. I don’t consider the site to be “done”, I feel that it is ready for all of you. A few tweaks are coming in the weeks to come. I have some client work that obviously take precedence.
