After about 12 straight hours of developing I’ve finally got my site’s redesign Live! While I’m not 100% done with the site, I wanted to get something live to work out any bugs I may encounter. Design wise, I’m done. I have some content to add and that’s about it. I’m really excited about this. I’ve spent the better part of the last few months to learn the ins and outs of WordPress and I finally feel like I have a good grasp. I’ve added some cool jQuery effects over in the main navigation and on the links in the side bar. I’ve even added a cool css effect to make the comments look like speech bubbles. It’s all css, no images. Now I’ve got to add the finishing touches and search for quirks. If you see any, please let me know.

Okay, so I’ve been working on redesigning this site. It’s going to be completely different. I am hoping to launch later next week. I’m going to have my work cut out for me. I’m new to WordPress, but I think I know enough. Alright, see you guys on the flip side…

Freelancing. It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time now. I’ve decided to take the plunge a couple weeks ago. A few opportunities came up and I couldn’t pass up the chance to work from home on a regular basis. I can’t say the decision was easy. Risking a steady paycheck is not something I took lightly, but at the end of the day I felt like it was a risk I had to take.

I’m currently enjoying some time to myself and will being keeping this blog updated on a regular basis. More info to come. I promise.

So I’m working on getting this site up and running soon. Learning how to design for WordPress has been so much fun. The videos over at CSS-Tricks have been awesome! I hope and I can get decent enough at it so I can start doing it for other people via Creative Drift.

I’ve added a few social icons so that people can find me on other sites and I’m really happy with them. I also just added a twitter feed to the blog and I thought that was pretty painless. I’ve got a lot of work to do before the site goes live, but I’m looking forward to it! I just wish I had more time to dedicate to finishing this blog.

I’m planning on launching the site before the end of month, but it’s starting to look like I won’t be done until early April. I plan on Video Blogging (Vlogging?) with this site and am really excited to see where that goes.
