So it’s been quite some time since I’ve updated this blog. It’s mostly been used to showcase some of the work I have done. Something I need to do is update my portfolio to show some more recent work. While I was thinking of a new way of doing this WordPress 3.0 was just around the corner. The 3rd iteration of WordPress has been out for quite a while now and it’s time for an upgrade.
Here are a couple of things I’m looking forward to doing.
First Thing First
This site is predominately used for web services I provide as a web designer. So it makes sense that the home page not be a blog, but a landing page showcasing some featured work along with a list of services I provide. The blog will still be here, but will most definitely be secondary as I don’t know when or how often I will update it. As much as I want to write about all things web, I simply don’t have the time with all the things I have going on. Having a lot of work is a good thing in my book.
A huge upgrade I’m brining to the site is going to be the implementation of WordPress 3.0. It’s going to make my life a lot easier when it comes to updating my portfolio. It’ll even help me to change the look and feel of my site from time to time.
I’m hoping to be done with it no later than 2 month’s from now as I haven’t even started the wireframe.
The Blog Part
I hope to update you guys along the way. I’ve been learning a lot these last few month’s. Everything from HTML5 and CSS3 to negotiating your rate as a freelancer. I’ll be writing about some of the things I’ve picked up since the time I last updated this blog. Can’t wait to share!
